Just east of downtown Louisville, 40202 is a hoppin’ area that has an abundance of shopping and restaurants. This area is always bustling with people and liveliness. Given this is one of the hip cultural epicenters of Louisville, it is surprising to see the number of homes sold decline since 2021.

 




The average sales price in 40202 has jumped dramatically over the last year. We will see this be the case continuing forward in the future. Normally, most homes appreciate 2-5% annually.

 

When comparing the number of days homes stay on market in 40202, there isn’t as drastic of a change as what there seems to be in other zip codes. It’s interesting to see that the number of days jumped from 2020 to 2021, but decreased from 2021 to 2022. This trend isn’t following all of the other zip codes that we’ve already evaluated.
